NFL Draft Brings 21,000 Airbnb Guests

Airbnb announced today that the local Nashville host community will welcome over 21,000 guests during April 25-27, which coincides with the NFL Draft and the Rock ‘n Roll marathon. Hosts in Nashville will earn over a combined $5 million based on confirmed bookings over these dates.

This will represent the largest number of guest arrivals and local host income to Nashville in the history of Airbnb’s platform.

These numbers reflect visitors traveling via Airbnb only and don’t take into account those guests who booked through Homeaway, VRBO, and other listing platforms or direct booking websites. Short-term rental bookings comprise a significant portion of all travelers coming for the Draft and the Marathon, which is wonderful not only for hosts but also for Nashville.

Alece Ronzino, one of NASTRA’s board members, had the chance to speak with News Channel 5 about the impact hosting has on our city.
