Permit Freedom Act

Senator Stevens, who sponsored the Tennessee Short Term Rental Unit Act, has a new bill up for vote in the state Senate and House. Bill SB1993 / HB1978, known as the Permit Freedom Act, requires local governmental entities to provide clear and unambiguous criteria for any permit that must be applied for, and requires them to approve or deny permits within no more than 120 days of receiving the application.
